高盛CFO：是「假新聞」！ 並未放棄加密貨幣交易平台計畫
日前傳出高盛集團擬放棄加密貨幣交易平台的計畫，導致比特幣價格在 24 小時內暴跌 15%，該公司財務長 6 日出席會議駁斥該傳聞，並指出高盛正在開發比特幣衍生性商品。
據日前外電消息，因為未來監管情況充滿不確定性，高盛將放棄加密貨幣交易平台的計畫，導致比特幣價格一路從 7380 美元左右，暴跌至 6370 美元。
高盛財務長 Martin Chavez 週四 (6 日) 出席 TechCrunch Disrupt Conference 會議表示，「我從未想過我會聽到自己使用這個描述字眼，但我真的必須形容這個消息為假新聞。」
Chavez 澄清，高盛並未放棄加密貨幣交易平台的計畫，且因客戶需求，該公司正在研究比特幣衍生性商品。他指出，下一階段高盛將探討比特幣的無本金交割遠期外匯交易 (Non-deliverable Forwards，NDF)，此為臨櫃交易，商品將以美元計算，參考價格為一系列交易所建立的比特幣價格。
根據 Coindesk 數據，7 日上午，比特幣價格回升至 6493.42 美元。去年 12 月時，1 比特幣曾逼近 2 萬美元，而今年整體加密貨幣市值已蒸發 65%。
然而，Chavez 表示，目前並無比特幣衍生性商品發行的確切時間表，高盛從 5 月開始，為客戶提供比特幣期貨清算服務，替該市場注入流動性。
但關於交易實體比特幣，Chavez 表示，高盛在推進此業務之前，必須先制定一個安全的託管解決方案。比特幣的高波動性，安全保管問題，還有實體比特幣的存放位置，將是機構型投資者進入此領域的挑戰。
Chavez 指出「實體比特幣非常有趣，但極具挑戰性，從保管的角度來看，我們還沒有機構級保管方案，我們對於這塊業務抱持興趣，但這是一條漫長的道路。」
